This website is intended to promote the awareness and effectiveness of holistic and integrative health care.

What is ‘holistic’? The term ‘holistic’ came into use in 1926, and reflects the concept that ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.’ In human health, this reflects an appreciation for the fact that all of our physical systems and anatomy can be separated from each other, but life is only possible when they are unified and functioning.

What is ‘integrative’? The word comes from the Latin word integer, or ‘a complete entity.’ So integrative is to weave together various influences to make one influence: various forms of health care and providers working together to help restore, achieve and maintain health.

There are many different sources of health services that can contribute to holistic and integrative health. This website has some basic information on some of the more commonly used professions and methods. Please look around, and if you don’t find what you’re looking for send us a note!

Be well. Be whole.
